Red Nose Day fun at Ideaworks

The Ideaworks team shows off its red noses in support of Red Nose Day.
The Ideaworks team shows off its red noses in support of Red Nose Day.

On May 26, the Ideaworks team participated in the nationally recognized Red Nose Day- a day dedicated to helping children while being silly, sharing a laugh and having fun. The red noses were available for purchase at Walgreen stores around the country, and proceeds from Red Nose Day benefit children and young people in the U.S. and also those living in some of the poorest communities in the world.

At Ideaworks, we are committed to helping those in need, so when we heard about Red Nose Day, there was no question that we would participate, and boy did we have fun wearing our red noses!

The money raised for the Red Nose Day Fund in 2016 will go to the following charities:

  • Boys and Girls Clubs of America
  • charity : water
  • Gavi – The Vaccine Alliance
  • National Council of La Raza
  • Children’s Health Fund
  • National Urban League
  • The Global Fund
  • Save the Children
  • OXFAM
  • Feeding America
  • Covenant House

If you didn’t participate in Red Nose Day this year, be sure to join the fun in 2017!

Hansbury Named To Top 25 Women In Business

A 1983 graduate of Bloomsburg University, Hansbury holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration with a focus on accounting. It’s her savvy business acumen, along with her creative side, that has made her an invaluable part of the Ideaworks team, putting her special touch on nearly every project that comes through our doors. “I have a natural curiosity to learn new things, so I am never afraid to take on a new challenge,” she said. Congratulations to Donna on this well-deserved recognition!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS

Twas the night before Christmas, when all through our house
Not a computer was stirring, not even a mouse.
Our files were stored on our desks with care,
In hopes that new projects soon would be there.

When out on the lawn there arose such a clatter,
We sprang from our chairs to see what’s the matter.
Away to the window D2 flew like a flash,
Tore open the curtains and pressed her nose to the sash.

It’s the puppies from Blue Chip she claimed with glee,
They’re all here to play with us come all to see.
Our entire team joined in with fervor,
Knowing these furry friends will be in our hearts forever.

Happy Holidays from all of us at Ideaworks and best wishes for a healthy and happy New Year!

P.S. This Holiday Season, please don’t forget our friends at the Blue Chip Farms Animal Refuge. Learn more about how you can do something “pawsitive” this coming year by visiting http://www.bcfanimalrefuge.org.

Happy Thanksgiving

This year, we at Ideaworks have much to be thankful for including a beautiful new office, talented additions to our team and an overall great feeling about all that we do.

From all of us at Ideaworks Marketing, wethanksgiving_team wish you and your family a safe and joyous holiday.  Happy Thanksgiving.

It’s A Beaut, Clark!

Well we are finally in our new “home” and things are shaping up very quickly.  It’s amazing how moving to a new office has positively influenced our entire team.  There’s just a new sense of energy and excitement in everything we do, and we all seem to have a new focus on our work as a whole.  Can a building be responsible for such a positive transformation?  Truthfully I can say with absolute certainty, YES!  It has for us for sure.  Using one of my favorite lines from one of my favorite holiday movies…”It’s a beaut, Clark!” Hope you have a chance to drop by and see for yourself.  You’re always welcome.IMG_1596

Time To Say Goodbye

After 17 years, today is the last official day of operation for our team working out of our Plymouth Office.  During this time, we have seen our company grow – enduring more challenges than I’d like to remember but also celebrating many accomplishments.

Moving to a new environment is always exciting, but understandably exciting only for those individuals directly involved in the move.  But I can say with true sincerity that this move means more to us than simply a change of surroundings.  It symbolizes a new beginning in many ways for Ideaworks, the start of the next chapter in our company’s history.

So as we all say goodbye to our Plymouth Office, we do so knowing that it is also saying goodbye to a past that has not only defined who we are but also who we will be.

Thank you to our entire team, our families, our business partners and associates and our many clients who every day give us the opportunity to do what I believe we do best.

Goodbye Plymouth…it’s been real!

Serving Up Great Ideas at Catersource

Ideaworks Marketing presented at the Catersource and Event Solutions Conference & Tradeshow, which was held March 8-11 in Las Vegas. Peter Steve, Managing Partner and Donna Hansbury, President, led two sessions designed to help caterers maximize their marketing strategy and ROI.

The first session was entitled Creating a Marketing Plan You Will Use, Not Lose. In this workshop, Peter and Donna took participants through a step-by-step process of creating a GPS-themed marketing plan that yielded maximum results with minimal effort. At the end of the workshop, participants walked away with a marketing plan in-hand — one they will use, not lose.

Positioning for Greater Profits: 7 Steps to Growing Your Catering Business was the second Ideaworks session. Peter and Donna explained exactly what positioning is, and walked participants through the seven steps that would help them clearly differentiate their catering business from the competition.

Commenting on the presentations prior to the conference, Steve stated, “Catersource is the premier event in the catering industry and we are honored to be presenting on this national stage. This will be the third time we are a part of the conference’s educational curriculum and we look forward to an engaging exchange with participants during both of our sessions.”

The Catersource and Event Solutions Conference & Tradeshow is the largest conference in catering. The event has been held for over 20 consecutive years, with sessions updated annually so attendees can continually bring back fresh ideas, and stay competitive. Adding Up Addys: Three, Four, or More?

It may not yield as much debate as the recent social media dress color debacle, but the question remains: did Ideaworks Marketing win three, or four awards at the 2015 Addys?

The American Advertising Federation of northeast Pennsylvania (AAF-NEPA), held its annual awards ceremony, affectionately known as the Addys, this past February 20, and three entries from Ideaworks proved to be winners – or four, if you so choose.

Below, a photo of the one Gold, and two Silver awards given to Ideaworks. The winning pieces included a Wedding Invitation Package (Gold/Judge’s Choice for Collateral Material); the “Street Eatz” campaign (Silver for Sales Promotion, Branded Environment); and the Ideaworks 2015 Calendar (Silver for Self Promotion, Advertising Industry).

And here is the Wedding Invitation Package that garnered the Gold:

Bridget and Daniel were a winning combination, and so was their wedding invitation package. They likely wrote a lot of thank-you notes when their festivities concluded, and all of us at Ideaworks would like to thank them for inspiring this work, that brought in both a Gold, and a Judge’s Choice award!

It all adds up to four awards, since of course, Gold and Judge’s Choice are two separate awards (that often overlap). So while three of Ideaworks’ pieces won, a total of four awards were earned. Here is the complete award set, the Judge’s Choice in the form of a fabulous miniature billboard from Lamar Advertising.

Yes, we could have said that from the beginning — but the Addys are just as much about having fun, as they are about recognizing excellence in advertising creativity. Ideaworks congratulates all the Addy winners from the 2015 AAF-NEPA event.
